Sicamous has many activites for every season to help make your visit a memorable one.

We are very fortunate to have a water playground at our front door. The beautiful clear waters of Shuswap and Mara Lake make Sicamous a popular spot for vacationers. Bring your own boat or rent one locally and explore over 1000 kms of shoreline with numerous waterfalls or picnic spots to stop at.

Sicamous also sports two golf courses. Eagle River Golf Course is a great course for the golfer who wants to get in a quick 9 holes while Hyde Mountain Golf Course offers 18 challenging holes overlooking Mara Lake. The course as well as the views are truly magnificent.

For the young at heart, we have mini golf, go carts, beach volleyball, wakeboard contests, water parks, a petting zoo, and of course you have to stop at the local D'Dutchmen Dairy for a sampling of their famous ice cream.

Take short day trips to the exciting Sky Trek zip line adventure or the fairytale world of the Enchanted Forest. Walk across the Crazy Creek suspension bridge or check out the wine at one of the close by wineries. Fishing is superb in the spring and fall months. Many fine stories have come from these lakes about the big one that got away. Come and give your luck a try. Or spend your day canoeing the meandering waters of the Eagle River.

For a step back in time, be sure to visit the local museum and the site where the "Last Spike" was driven on the Canadian Pacific Railway line connecting Canada from East to West. As well, visit the Malakwa Suspension Bridge which has been in place crossing the Eagle River since 1918.

Winter sports abound in this area as well. Snowmobiling is becoming very popular in the Sicamous area. Four mountain ranges provide miles and miles of wide open territory to roam. Whether a novice rider looking for a beautiful leisure ride or someone looking for a challenge with steep inclines, we have it all. Champagne powder, well groomed trails and majestic views are just some of the reasons that Sicamous has repeatedly won awards.

Parks & Beaches

Public Beach & Park
Sicamous boasts a beautiful public beach. There is an attractive sandy beach for building an exquisite sand castle , or grab some friends for a game of beach volleyball on the public courts. For the young and the young at heart, you will find a playground. Our beach is equipped with change rooms and bathroom facilities. As well, for just a day of picnicking or a stroll, you will find picnic tables, and a beautiful brick walkway. There is also a public boat launch here.

Riverfront Nature Trails
This park features several kilometers of pleasant strolling trails near the mouth of the Eagle River, with great views of the river and the Shuswap Lake as well as giant cottonwood trees. Parking and access is at the end of Silver Sands Road. These trails can also be reached by continuing along the waterfront from Sicamous Beach Park in front of the Sicamous Sands Resort.

Mara Provincial Park
Located approximately 16 km south of Sicamous on Hwy. 97A. Here you will find three sandy beaches, a grassy area for play and picnicking, change rooms, and bathroom facilities, You will also find a public boat launch here.

Yard Creek Park
Located approximately 13.5 km east of Sicamous on the south side of the Trans Canada Hwy. It has a lovely day use area with short and easy trails along Yard Creek. Access the trails from the day use parking area only as most of the park is designated for registered, overnight campers.
